A Primary Suite Bathroom Built for Safety and Comfort

Taking inspiration from Japanese bathhouses, this osen-inspired remodel blends a grounded color palette with a design focused on the future. A recent diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease had our clients reassessing the layout of their primary suite bathroom. To prepare for the challenges that lie ahead, the space was designed for mobility and safety.

The location of the tub and shower was swapped, the shower became curbless, and grab bars were installed. The existing Jerusalem Gold marble on the shower wall was left as-is, and new wood paneling was added to the ceiling to match what was already there. The design inspiration focuses on texture, light, and simplicity.

A custom tub deck with inset horizontal bands and a custom tiled wall sconce were designed in collaboration with our clients, who are using the remodeled space in safety and comfort.
