A Look Back at Our 2025 Projects

As we kick off 2026, we’re reflecting on the clients who welcomed us into their homes, the craftsmanship behind each project, and the design philosophy that continues to guide our work. We collaborated with families on a dozen projects in 2025, each one shaping our team and challenging us in meaningful ways.

Along the way, we stepped back to learn and recharge, attending industry events like WestEdge Design Fair, the International Builders’ Show, and an exclusive Design-Build Forum, bringing fresh ideas and perspective back to the South Bay. As we step into the new year, we’re excited to carry that momentum forward. Below are just a few of the many projects we were grateful to be a part of this year.

1. A Cozy & Connected Craftsman Home

In this Hawthorne, whole-home renovation, we maintained the original charm while creating a fresh new space. The entry was re-imagined with a library and stained glass details to build on the Craftsman character, while also adjusting the flow of the home upon entry. The dining room and kitchen were also opened up to create a space where this family could gather and connect easily.

2. A Low-Tox, Light-Filled Remodel

Your home fitting your lifestyle does not only pertain to the layout, color palette, or decor choices, but is sometimes something deeper than that. This young family wanted to renovate their Manhattan Beach home without sacrificing the low-tox lifestyle that they live. Custom Design & Construction kept this in mind throughout the process and used zero-VOC materials along with EOC paint to achieve these clients’ dreams.

3. A Legacy Filled Modern Family Home

There is no greater honor than a client entrusting Custom Design & Construction to remodel the home they grew up in to fit their own family. It was incredibly important to preserve the memories this Manhattan Beach home housed while breathing fresh life into it, so new stories could be written. We worked hand in hand with our client to ensure her family’s lifestyle would be accommodated in every way, even their furry family member, Rocco. This space now offers the family modern functionality to keep up with their busy lifestyles.

4. A Thoughtfully Modern Mid-Century Home

This Ladera Heights remodel was all about reimagining a space, rather than completely changing it. Endless care was put into crafting a place that could entertain guests, featuring a built-in buffet and a redesigned bar, which gave this home the ultimate facelift. Paying homage to the original home, a metal room divider was transformed into an art piece that adorns the main hall as a reminder of all the precious memories held in the home.

Now that you’ve read about some of our incredible 2025 projects, we hope we have inspired you to make your dreams a reality in 2026!
